Just saw a video in my news feed. Just feel like sharing ^^

Awesome video! A whole new level of grand finale! lol

Watched the new X-men movie the other day and that was awesome too! Who knew that I would love it even though I've never cared much about the other X-men movies before. In the end, I downloaded all the old X-men movies 1-4 and an X-men all-day movie marathon is to be scheduled soon haha.

Yesterday, went to Plymouth with Tiqah, Shamsa and Clarisse. I went for some Tie rack shopping but in the end got more stuff than intended and less of the Tie rack stuff. Terrible weather to be out too, but it was a good shopping trip :D Next time I'll come to visit the Aquarium instead maybe ^^

So need to start packing soon and see how much space I could spare for more stuff to come whilst in Birm. Time flies so quickly! Countdown to Brunei: 18 more days! :D

Ps: Sorry Easter updates would have to wait for a while - though it's already outdated but hopefully I'll find the time to do them ^^

The 28th of May

Hmm time pass by slowly when you have nothing much to do. I finished Unearthly yesterday, can't wait for the sequel to come out! Unfortunately it's not gonna come out till next year :/ Oh well gonna get more books to read as soon as the allowance's out xp At the moment, I'm starting to read Immortal by Gillian Shields. The synopsis looks promising so looking forward to that :) Love the cover! ^^

 Dunno what's happening yesterday, but there was this constant drumming going on outside but it was faint so I didn't really bother. Then after a while, suddenly the drumming got louder and look what I found outside marching towards the Event Square, I think, lol it was cool ^^ A lady in red with a wheelbarrow was directing the march, at least I think she was a lady cos I wasn't wearing my glasses at the time, but she's got quite a big build so I can't be sure. Too bad she was covered by the railings in the picture. And yep the wheelbarrow was a bit weird lol.

Hot choco - haven't had hot drinks for quite some time now. Not really a fan with HOTness in a drink, much prefer COOLness, but its alright once in a while ;)

Finished watching 2 animes today Lovely Complex and Mamoru-kun Ni Megami No Shukufuku Wo! The latter I started a long time ago but finally got the chance to finish it, more like I just remembered to watch it again :P The ending was a bit boring but a good one nonetheless ~ On the other hand, Lovely Complex is a good stress reliever, if you don't mind the drawing of the characters. Not that it's ugly or anything like that but there are a few moments when they are, I'm quite picky with animes but thankfully they'll grow on you ^^ so I would recommend watching it. Made my view of a man change a bit for a while though, messed up my vision of the guy in Unearthly :p

Food Stuff.. No wonder I'm getting chubby!

Just felt like making a separate post for this one ^^ more or less experimental ones lol but heck I ate a lot more than what I used to eat when I first got here. Must say I got influenced by the time spent in Birmingham and Cardiff~ thanks to none other than the Langleys and Belz, Imah and Cimcim, and next time Tikah ( ps: baiktah masak for me nanti xp) ;D Haven't got the chance to try the big ones on my own yet like soto for instance :p but I might try when I get back to Brunei. After all a chef is in the house i.e Mama ;) These are some of what I made recently:

 Now this is the WORST addiction I have ever had! lol mentioned this before about the Fab ice cream, see how many boxes I have eaten in less than a month?! but they're just too good~ This was last month's consumption though.. Will get more with this month's grocery of course :p

I forgot when was this but Santi made this for us : Chicken masala I think.. but man it was really really good! she used the ready-made sauce but still DAEBAK!

Hmm now that I have all the time in the world again (at least for a while) I'll do some Easter Story update ^^ next time though.. Now time to continue pampering myself with anime xp

Yesterday was my last paper of the year! This marks the end of my first year of Uni. Time sure flies! So fast that it's scary! but no complaints of course cos I get to go back HOME soon! yay! can't wait, missing home already :') Countdown : 33 more days~

And my way of celebrating my newly found freedom would be to do everything that I wanna do without any guilt and do it whenever possible, woohoo! Just yesterday . . .

2 more papers till freedom!

Yay! got through the first paper today which is BIO1320 - Animal and Plant physiology. Alhamdulillah I practiced the past year exam questions cause there are quite a few of them in the paper ^^. Not gonna do anything major today as I barely slept last night so the next round of revision will start TOMORROW.

Let's see I was gonna update something a few days ago but the blogger site was under maintenance or something like that so I didn't get the chance to.

Last week I tried to cook Chicken with tomato puree ( powdered ). That was my first time trying to cook something like that. So the first thing to do would be follow the instructions. So...

 Fry the chicken.

 Mix the powder mix with water.

 Then mix everything in. The funny thing is it didn't work! Looks more like FRIED chicken now doesn't it?

 Yep definitely fried chicken, but it was tasty anyway so all's fine.

Then I think this happened the same day or the next day. *Memory overload so can't remember anything else lol* Revision night.

 Monster drink. Just an experiment to see if it works, so I drank it that night for revision.

 So far so good~

There, the drink works alright. I was sleepy of course but I just can't seem to fall asleep. Got things done and got the apples as a reward. ^^

Took these two days after I think. The Fab Ice cream. Was introduced by Ka Cken when I was in Cardiff. Can't get enough of it now lol.

Shamsa cooked for us twice the day before. Forgot to take pictures though. That was a shame. But wow African food are YUMMY! Would love to learn someday. And Shamsa told me that the language in Lion King was in Swahili, which is an African language. For example 'Hakuna Matata' which means 'no worries' and such. Now THAT is definitely a language that I wanna learn! I always thought those words were just made up. ^^

*sigh* 'procrastination' is the word for not just today but everyday ^^ Oh well~ Just saw Lady Gaga's new MV - Judas.

Despite all the religious outrage in the news and everything, I quite like the song and it's actually quite catchy . . but I'm not sure if it's alright for me to sing along with it :s But the actual meaning of the song isn't about anything religious at all . . maybe a lil' bit but the main story is about loving the wrong person over and over again, or should I say the SAME wrong person over and over again. The person who had betrayed her yet she still clings to him. So it should be alright...?

Great Great Holiday, Time to Face the Real World Again

Have been to lots of places this Easter break. Did a lot of new stuff as well but haven't got the time to actually update here. I'll do that when I get the chance and time to later on. I'm currently in the process of updating my Field Diary for BIO1407 which is up for inspection tomorrow, along with the Collection. Yep that's right, it's all done and over with! Well not quite . . but it will be by tomorrow ^^ Right I'm still on Trip 7 in my Diary, 3 more trips to go .. I can do this! *being positive makes you healthy ;)*

So yeah will continue doing work for now. Might update just before exams start which is on the 18th of May, which would mean that I'd be procrastinating lol but hey we need to be happy to do good right? ^^ Alrighty adios for now. *wave2*

Bought new shoes for 'Salam Brunei' and a pair of sneaker-flats for the coming summer. Gosh spent quite some money today but it was worth it :) Wasn't actually in the mood to go anywhere today, too lazy to move my butt from bed lol. But then Sarah reminded me that I haven't got any shoes to go with my baju kurung yet. So Ka Mal and me went out in the end ^^ Too many temptations out there really. Want this, want that *sigh*

Soto Day + Teh Tarik - Asian Night!

Haha finally got the chance to actually learn cooking :D Thanks to the recipe from the internet and Ka Jilah's 'suggestion' for me to cook soto for yesterday ^^. So with Ka Mal's and Nabillah's help it turned out to be successful, yay!

Ka Mal made Lada Rindu and we all made Kicap Special, no pictures of them though. They were the HOTTEST things I've ever tasted since like ages! Too much Lada Padi. But it was yummy nonetheless but miss mum's soto now :s and Sarah made dessert - chocolate-coated strawberries, umm umm~ and Nabillah made Teh Tarik ala-ala Taiwan. The perfect Asian dinner combo. 10 out of 10!

After all that eating we karaoke-d  till like 12am. Too bad I didn't know most of the songs. Not good for the voice (as in our voice may not come out the next day) but a good tension-remover - recommended to all ;) Gonna hit the hay - till next time~

The Start of Easter Break!

Yay! I'm here in Birm already after quite a hectic day yesterday. I missed my first train form Falmouth Town to Truro Rail Station by a few minutes. I guess living so close to a rail station has its downsides - taking things for granted thinking I can take my time . . . Guess what happened, got too carried away then realized it's nearly time to depart. I basically rushed there but too bad I missed it. In the end I called the cab to get to Truro to catch my next train for Birmingham. It costed me £25 but yeah there's nothing much I can do. Don't wanna miss the whole train in the end so . . My taxi driver was a friendly sport which made me feel better a bit so I didn't think much about the whole missing-the-train bit. He was a bit amazed that I'm still smiling though lol. Things happen for a reason they say.


I think that reserving a seat is a smart thing to do as you don't have to find a seat somewhere else. It took me about 6 hours to get to Birmingham. Snapped a few pictures in the train.

Got to Birm at about 3.55pm. Kaka Amal came and picked me up. I was too hungry cause I didn't get the chance to grab anything to eat for the train ride so we stopped by at this new chinese restaurant callled 'Chopsticks'. It's halal, they've got a buffet menu and it's just about £5 for the buffet! That was really a treat :D Too bad my tummy can't fill everything in so I stopped after the second round.

Today Ka Mal took me to the city with Nabillah - just met her yesterday and we both slept on Ka Mal's floor lol. I spent a lot today shopping for clothes at Primark - phew~ I'm happy with them though :D Then we stopped by at China Town and drank Bubble Teas at Caffe Chino. Got myself a Pandan Cake as well yum~

Finally got to cook real food today with a week filled with Indomie instant noodles AND chocolate, not the healthiest mix but yeah got no time for the past few days, for at least 2 weeks actually, but it's all over now! Finished all the assignments and tests! Time for a break - a really long one, Easter break here I come~ :D The Ending of my first year, felt like time was fast-forwarded going too fast.

Right my schedule for Easter Break (the month of April):

2nd-6th: Birmingham with the Langleys aka Kaka Amal's place
7th-13th: Cardiff
9th: 'Salam Brunei' cultural event by BDSSW - Brunei Darussalam Student Society at Wales.
14th-17th: Back to Birm with Tikah
18th-24th: London with Dina
25th: Back to Cornwall - time to finish up my Collection due on the 5th of May

Right all sorted, just need to start packing up and plan the journey times and such. Will do that tomorrow, last minute as always lol. I' feeling a bit woozy now - the effect of no sleep Wednesday night finishing my report due yesterday but hey it's done and over with, just need to catch up on my sleep and movie fetish lol. A pretty UNFORTUNATE day *sigh*

'Unfortunate' is a mild word actually. 'Damned' is more like it. *sigh* I have a practical sesh this morning at 7am in the morning. It is one that I was looking forward to too. Guess what happened . . I totally missed it!! I had set the alarm at 5 something and 6am. I literally woke up and turn the bloody alarm off and go back to sleep again! The next thing I knew, the brightness of the room woke me up at it was 7.30am! I panicked and swore all sorts of words I don't really wanna mention. I even woke Santi up with all my swearing. She got all surprised thinking something major was happening. Sorry for that. I don't even bother to do anything else, get dressed and Santi called the cab for me and I zoomed off to campus. Got there at about 7.50am and ran all the way to the Walled Garden to find that the door was locked. Then it hit me, the reality of missing the practical, BAM! another round of swearing and I just bugger off to the library. On my way, I found a dead jay (a bird) near the pond area. Don't really know what to do with it, it was lying on the rocky floor so I just transferred it to a grassy one. Then got to the library, still pissed off! at myself of course to find out that the internet was down! And my next lecture won't be on till 2pm! Only Allah know how I felt that time. And I spent £11 for the cab and for what?? Nothing!! Man, I feel like kicking myself! but I got over it now . . . -ish at least. Nothing can be done anyways.

Ok that's the worst of it, now for the good bit. Sorry got a lil' bit carried away there. So we had a bee hive demo at about 3pm today. It was really good. And good news is no one got stung lol. And we were told about the field trips next year afterwards. I didn't know that we have to decide now basically, when all the tests and works are all clustered together boohoo.. I need to meet up with my tutor and discuss about it. I should e-mail him soon.

Ok updates of what I have been doing for the past few days. I have posted up pictures on facebook so everyone I know Knows what I have been up to. But for the sake of updating I'll just comment on some pictures here :D

We accomplished something that Sunday. We didn't plan to actually go to Maenporth as it looks really far from the map. We just followed the path and enjoyed the view, which was AWESOME. And there we are lol. Got super duper tired though. Especially our feet were in pain.

Mm what else, I went to Tehidy yesterday for my field trip. Won't say that it was a hell lot of fun cause it wasn't really, but the view was amazing. Maybe I'm getting used to all these nature stuff. Not that I've seen everything all there is to see. But it was our last field trip out so just enjoy it while it lasted lol.. time for some collection and real work.

Oh yeah I forgot, I did the test on Tuesday and got 78% yay! lol it wasn't that great to celebrate but good enough to get a solid First :D I think I haven't mentioned about my poster score from last time, I got 69%, bummer! Just One more would earn me my First class *sigh* I hope the total in the end would earn me a First for BIO1410 from last term.

Got a test tomorrow on IDs and bird songs, I'll listen to them all night and hopefully they'll stick in my head for at least a day lol. Till next time!
